I’m Carolyn, the baker and photographer behind Bake in Balance. Here you’ll find simple, easy-to-follow recipes and baking tips for the modern home baker. All of my recipes are gluten free; some recipes are also dairy free and vegan, but most importantly, all are delicious.
I’ve always loved to bake, but in 2017 I found out I needed to switch to a gluten-free diet. Suddenly, I felt pretty lost in the kitchen, unsure of what I could and couldn’t eat, and unsatisfied with many of the gluten-free products and recipes that I tried. So, I started researching and experimenting with various gluten-free ingredients and recipes, and after lots of trial and error, I started to become more comfortable and confident in the kitchen once again.
I’ve learned that delicious gluten-free cookies, cakes, pies and many other treats, are not only possible, but very doable. With the right ingredients, recipes, and methods, you can make delicious baked goods that anyone will love, whether they have dietary restrictions or not!
